On a sunny island, four friends raced along the beach. ‘Look what I found!’ Scarlett shouted, pointing to a hidden cove with shimmering shells no one had ever collected before.

Scarlett danced ahead, Emma waved everyone closer, and Hannah watched quietly.

The next morning, Scarlett held up a beautiful shell that sparkled like a rainbow. ‘Aren’t they amazing? Let’s all collect some!’ she said, her eyes twinkling with excitement.

Hannah noticed Emma hanging back, her toes wiggling in the sand. ‘What’s wrong?’ she asked softly, giving Emma’s shoulder a gentle nudge.

Emma whispered, ‘I heard these shells are cursed. They bring bad luck if you touch them.’ Her voice was as small as a seashell.

Scarlett gathered everyone in a circle. ‘Let’s investigate together! Rumors aren’t facts until we check,’ she said, sounding like a detective.

Back at the cove, they listened carefully. The ‘curse’ was just seashells whistling funny noises in the wind! It sounded like a giggling dolphin.

Emma took a deep breath. She bravely picked up a glowing pink shell. ‘See? It’s perfectly safe!’ she said, her smile growing bigger.

Her three friends cheered as she smiled brightly on the sunny beach. They made a pact to always check facts before believing scary stories.
