The Cloud Bridge Journey
This is a gentle short story about caring for others and noticing when someone needs support.
Blossom Sky Island floated high above the ground, with pink trees and tiny petals drifting through the air like snow. Noah walked along the path, thinking calmly about the day. Logan strolled beside him, listening more than he talked. Tiko the Tiger led the way, brave but gentle. Yani the Yak followed behind, strong and steady like a moving mountain.
At the edge of the island, they discovered something new—a glowing cloud bridge that stretched toward a small, floating island no one had visited before.
“Let’s explore!” Tiko said.
Noah nodded. “We just need to be careful and stay together.”
They stepped onto the bridge. The clouds felt soft and bouncy under their feet. Petals floated all around them, sparkling in the sunlight.
Halfway across, Logan glanced back at Yani.
Yani’s steps had slowed. His breath came out in heavy puffs.
“Are you okay?” Logan asked quietly.
“I’m fine,” Yani started to say… but his legs shook a little.
Noah stopped walking. “We don’t have to rush,” he said. “Caring for others means noticing when someone needs a break.”
Tiko looked back too. “We can rest,” he said. “The island will still be there.”
They all sat down together on the gently swaying bridge. Logan listened as Yani admitted, “I’m strong, but carrying everyone’s extra bags made me tired.”
“I didn’t realize,” Tiko said softly. “Thank you for helping us. Next time we’ll share the load.”
Noah thought for a moment. “Let’s split the bags now.”
They divided the weight so Yani could walk more easily.
When they reached the new island, it felt even more magical because they had cared for one another the whole way there.
Yani smiled. “This adventure feels better because we looked after each other.”
