In Hollowbranch Jungle, Gigi the Giraffe stretched her long neck high. ‘I promise to watch for the first star tonight,’ she told the little animals with a warm smile. ‘When I see it, bedtime!’

Riri the Rabbit bounced nearby, her nose twitching with excitement.

But then a beautiful butterfly fluttered by with rainbow wings. ‘Ooh, pretty!’ Gigi whispered, watching it dance. She forgot to look up as the first star twinkled unseen. The tired animals waited, rubbing their eyes.

Oh no!’ Gigi gasped, her heart sinking. She found Riri. ‘I broke my promise!’ Riri’s ears drooped. ‘I’ll get help,’ she said, hopping away like a fluffy spring.

Riri found Zino the Dolphin splashing in the jungle river. ‘Let’s play starfish tag!’ Zino cheered, making silly water sounds that turned frowns into giggles while Gigi figured things out.

Tara the Turtle moved slowly to Gigi. ‘A broken promise hurts feelings,’ she said gently. ‘But a true ‘I’m sorry’ can heal them. It needs to come from your heart.’

Gigi practiced quietly. ‘I’m sorry I didn’t watch. I’ll do better next time.’ She learned that sorry means more than words—it means trying harder.

As fireflies began to glow, Gigi bent her long neck down low. She looked the little animals in their sleepy eyes. ‘I’m truly sorry,’ she said, her voice soft and honest.

The next night, Gigi watched carefully without blinking. ‘There’s the first star!’ she called happily. Everyone snuggled into bed, trust restored like a cozy blanket.
