The Glowberry Mix-Up
This is a short story about honesty for kids and how telling the truth helps everyone solve problems together.
Luminous Leaf Forest shimmered with glowing plants lighting the paths like tiny lanterns.
Rafa the Rhino used his strength to help, Milo the Mongoose darted bravely, Zazu watched calmly from the leaves, and Kali the Crocodile taught patience with slow steady steps.
One morning they discovered the forest’s glowberries were missing from the usual basket and Milo immediately suspected a sneaky thief.
Rafa reminded everyone to stay calm while they searched, and Zazu suddenly noticed glowing berry juice on Milo’s paws.
Milo tried to deny it but his whiskers drooped and he looked nervous. Kali encouraged him gently saying honesty helps everyone and hiding mistakes only makes things harder.
Milo finally admitted he took one glowberry to taste and accidentally knocked more into the bushes, but he was scared the others would think he ruined everything.
Rafa thanked him for telling the truth, calling it brave. Zazu smiled saying there was no thief — just a simple mix-up.
Together they gathered the fallen glowberries, washed them in the river, and returned them to the basket until the forest lights brightened again.
Kali told Milo that honesty fixes what fear cannot, and Milo promised to ask next time.
