In Magic Carpet Forest, excitement buzzed like a thousand fireflies. Riri the Rabbit zoomed past with rainbow streamers, Poko the Panda gently placed daisy chains, Pia the Peacock practiced twirls before her shiny mirror, and Milo the Mongoose stacked colorful game rings.

Everyone was busy with happy preparations.

During a lively game of tag, Milo dashed after Riri. He zigged when he should have zagged and bumped right into Pia’s special table. ‘Oops!’ he squeaked.

CRASH! Pia’s favorite mirror fell and shattered on the mossy ground. Colorful pieces scattered everywhere like fallen stars. Milo froze, his ears drooping low.

Milo felt awful. He thought about sweeping the pieces under a bush. But he remembered his promise: ‘Always be honest, no matter what.’ His tummy did a little flip.

With a deep breath, Milo carefully gathered every shiny piece into his paws. His heart thump-thumped as he went to find Pia, the pieces sparkling in the sunlight.

Pia, I’m so sorry,’ Milo said, holding out the pieces. ‘I broke your mirror during tag. Can we fix it together before the festival?’

Pia’s feathers ruffled, then settled. She saw Milo’s brave, worried face. ‘You told the truth. That’s more important than a mirror,’ she said kindly. ‘Let’s make something new!’

They all worked together, gluing the pieces into a sparkling mosaic. At the festival, the new mirror shone brighter than ever, reflecting four happy friends. Keeping a promise made everything sparkle.
