Chirpy Stories
The Cozy Home Rescue
This is a short story about showing kindness at home and how gentle actions can make our own spaces feel safer.
At Marshmallow Monster Ridge, the houses looked soft and squishy like giant pillows stacked in funny shapes.
Inside one warm home lived Charlotte, Logan, and Momo the Monkey.
Charlotte loved reading and asking thoughtful questions, Logan listened quietly and understood unspoken feelings, and Momo climbed everything while solving problems with playful tricks.
One rainy afternoon they heard a thump in the attic.
Momo rushed up thinking it might be treasure, while Logan reminded everyone to be gentle in case someone needed help.
When they opened the attic door, they found a tiny Marshmallow Critter tangled in ribbons from an old costume box, scared and unable to move.
Charlotte knelt beside the frightened creature, Logan stayed close humming softly to comfort it, and Momo climbed up to loosen a ribbon with a clever tail pull.
Charlotte untangled the ribbons slowly.
Logan kept the critter calm.
Momo tugged carefully until it slipped free.
The Marshmallow Critter nuzzled Charlotte’s hand in thanks before bouncing out the window and back toward the ridge.
Charlotte smiled saying that helping at home matters too, and Logan nodded, adding that kindness starts right where we live.
