We all have heard the tail of The Crow And The Pitcher. However this story gives a fun twist to it. The sly snake in this story makes it even more entertaining. Enjoy reading!

The Crow Was Thirsty
Once upon a scorching day, a clever crow and a sneaky snake found themselves near a peculiar sight. It was hot and the crow was looking for water. But in the vast desert there wasn’t any to be seen as the crow flew over and around it.
Suddenly there was hope. Maybe it was a pitcher. It looked like it from the top. However was that really it? Nope.

The young crow had heard ‘The Crow and The Pitcher’ story from his mother. He knew he can use the same trick to drink and fill it with pebbles if there is water in it. So he flew towards it.
But Things Changed
A snake, with its curvy body, lay curled up in a way that resembled a pitcher. Shining skin of the snake looked like water. The thirsty crow, excited, flew down eagerly. “Ah, a pitcher filled with water!” the crow exclaimed.
But as he pecked at the snake, he quickly realized his mistake. The snake, amused by the crow’s confusion, hissed mischievously. “Haha, I may not be a pitcher, but I certainly fooled you!”
Embarrassed and slightly hurt, the crow flew away, leaving the sneaky snake laughing in the dust. He felt foolish for falling for the snake’s trickery. However, he wasn’t one to give up easily.

The crow returned and flew away.
The Crow Wouldn’t Give Up
A few days later, the crow was again thirsty and saw the same “pitcher” while flying. But this time, he approached the so-called “pitcher” carefully, circling it from a distance. As he got closer, the crow noticed that the snake’s pattern indeed resembled a pitcher’s spout, but he didn’t let it deceive him again.
Instead of pecking, the crow decided to use his beak to nudge a nearby rock. The rock rolled into the “pitcher,” making a hollow sound. The crow realized that the snake had cleverly positioned itself to resemble a pitcher and play a trick on unsuspecting creatures like him.
With a sly grin, the crow flew away, leaving the snake perplexed and frustrated. The snake’s plan had backfired, and the clever crow had outsmarted him.
The Moral
From that day on, the snake thought twice before trying to deceive others with his tricky appearances. The crow also learned a valuable lesson that day – to be cautious and not let his thirst cloud his judgment. He discovered the power of observation and how thinking twice could save him from falling for cunning tricks.
As the crow soared through the sky, he chuckled to himself, grateful for the surprising encounter that had taught him a valuable life lesson. He knew that he would always approach things with a keen eye and a clever mind, ready to face any challenge that came his way.
