On Prism Path, Zuri the Zebra spotted a shimmering trail that sparkled like spilled glitter. ‘Wow!’ she whispered, trotting toward the Rainbow Racetrack where animals were stretching for the Great Colorful Chase.

Sona the Sparrow fluttered nearby, chirping a friendly hello.

Zuri’s hooves shuffled nervously in the rainbow-colored dust. ‘I want to race, but everyone is so fast!’ she said, watching speedy rabbits and deer zoom past in practice runs.

Sona landed gently on Zuri’s back. ‘Courage means trying, not just winning,’ she chirped softly. ‘Your stripes are already colorful enough for this race!’

Mika the Meerkat popped up from behind a rock, spotting Zuri looking lost in the crowd. ‘Stay calm, breathe deep like this,’ he said, puffing out his cheeks with a big, funny inhale.

Momo the Monkey swung down from a glittery tree. ‘Let’s make a simple plan! Start slow like a sleepy sloth, follow the colorful markers, and enjoy discovering the track.’

Zuri stepped to the starting line, her heart doing little jumps. She took a deep breath as colorful butterflies fluttered around her striped coat, tickling her nose.

During the race, when Zuri felt overwhelmed by all the zooming animals, she remembered her plan. She paused at each color marker, stayed calm, and moved forward bravely.

Zuri crossed the finish line with the proudest smile. ‘You were so brave!’ cheered her friends, giving her high-fives with their paws and wings. She discovered courage meant trying her very best.
