Acorn Library felt extra warm during the holidays. Garland made of dried leaves hung from shelves and tiny pinecone lights glowed between books.

Wyatt watched over visitors, Hannah listened kindly, Zoey searched for surprises, and Lily helped calm small disagreements.

The library prepared a big holiday tree display, but when the box of decorations opened, Zoey noticed the bright red acorn topper was missing.

Wyatt suggested someone might be scared to speak up, Hannah listened for clues in worried whispers, and Lily encouraged solving the problem gently.

They searched kindly — Zoey under tables, Wyatt behind carts, Hannah asking soft questions — until Lily found a small squirrel by the window holding the missing ornament.

The squirrel explained she removed it because it had cracked and she feared everyone would be upset. Hannah reassured her that mistakes happen.

Zoey cheered and said they could fix it, pulling tiny glue drops from her explorer pouch.

Together they repaired the ornament and placed it on the holiday tree where the lights reflected beautifully through the mended crack.

Lily smiled saying kindness makes holidays shine more than decorations, and the little squirrel finally smiled too.
